This is a great example of a Bilston Enamel Etui.

The thimble on top unscrews to reveal the original stopper, the top half would have housed needles.

The lower portion pulls apart and would most likely have been for bodkins.

The enamel is in remarkably good condition. 

It is decorated with beautiful scenes.
