Early 19th Century Treen Glove Stretchers

These are very unusual and rare wooden glove stretchers. They are the forerunner of the glove stretchers we know today. Reference is made to them in Treen/Pinto plate 388. They are very long at 53.5 cm and probably quite tricky to use, I can see why the shorter version came in. The two narrow ends are inserted into the glove then the handles are brought together and this stretches the gloves. Super condition.
