14ct gold (unmarked but tested) Kappa Alpha Fraternity.

I believe this is the emblem of the fraternity.

The CC on one side refers to the Union College chapter Schenectady

I have also traced the owner of the key, James Balneaves.  He attended BBS in Scotland then went on to St Andrews where he obtained his degree. He then had a scholarship to Union College New York.

It is in lovely condition.   There is some wear to the ring at the top, but as the gold is so thick it has not worn through.
