Amethyst

A beautiful Mexican silver and amethyst brooch by Beto at the height of Taxco silversmithing.  It would appear that it Beto was prolific in the 1950s.  The amethyst's are cabochon set and the reverse carries two marks and the eagle mark for purity of silver.  I have photographed it in two different positions for the amethyst drop, it seems to work both ways.
