Paper Clip by James Heeley & Sons

Ref: DIG251119
Sold
This is a wonderful piece of engineering. It works on the Archimedes screw principle. Made by James Heeley & Sons Birmingham. James Heeley was well known for making patented corkscrews. The amount of work that has gone into this small item is amazing, works as well as it did when it was made towards the end of the 19th Century. The plate reads James Heeley & Sons, Mount Street, Birmingham
