Mother of Pearl

These are rare survivors.

Late 18th Century MOP & tortoiseshell tea tongs.

They have a marvellous old repair which really just adds to the originality of the item.

The mother of pearl has been decorated in the bright cut style in the same manner a silver pair of the period would have been decorated in.

We don’t usually purchase or offer for sale damaged items, but these really are a rare survivor and would make a great addition to a collection.
