Tortoiseshell Gold Pique Patch Box

This is a lovely example of a late 18th century patch box which is decorated with gold pique stars to the top which are all present, the inside of the box is in super condition and the lid and base fit very well together, no distortion. There are a couple of minor nibbles to the outside, but as tortoiseshell is a natural material this can be expected on an item of this age.
