Velvet Shoe Sewing Compendium/Pin Cushion

A most unusual velvet shoe sewing compendium. This is a super item and a pretty rare survivor. The item probably dates to circa 1900 and the velvet is in lovely condition. Inside there is a silver thimble and 3 slots for scissors. The top of the shoe is a pin cushion. The buttons on either side are showing signs of wear, the base is also showing wear commensurate with age. Embossed on the inside at the back of the heel on the velvet is the word Germany and what looks like a makers mark, have tried to photograph it.
