A quality victorian brass sewing compendium.  The was retailed by Howell James & Co Regent Street London.  This company was known for their high quality boxes.  The outside has foliate decoration and the original owners initials to the cartouche on the top.  The inside still has its original purple velvet lining, which is in very good order. Some of the contents maybe original some maybe associated. Opens and closes well provided the items are in the right position.
